 Mukesh is one of the main characters of the lesson. He belongs to a bangle-maker family from Firozabad. In his family it was a common practice that the coming generations will carry on their family profession itself but Mukesh had other plans.

Mukesh wanted to be his own master and not work under anyone. He dreamt of being a motor mechanic and driving his own car. He was different from the rest of his family, and others belonging to his community, who never dared to dream. His family members believed that it was their destiny to work as bangle-makers for their whole lives and also make their children undergo the same toil. But Mukesh didn’t want to be a bangle-maker.

His dream looked like a mirage amidst the dust because considering his current living situation his dream looked unreal and very difficult to achieve. But he had already taken the first big step to change by daring to dream and he believed that with courage, willpower, and determination he could fulfill his dream and follow his passion.
