Lajpat Rai was a heavyweight veteran leader of the Indian Nationalist Movement, Indian independence movement led by the Indian National Congress, Hindu reform movements and Arya Samaj.
What we must remember is the fact that although he was a staunchly religious person, as his upbringing was deeply motivated by his pious mother and devotional father, he was of a very liberal mindset.
