Immunological memory - It's the power of the host cells to recollect antigens or pathogens, tumor cells, tissues of immunological self.
Ability to differentiate between self and non-self — the antigens located on our cells are referred to as self-antigens while those which don't originate in our body are referred to as non-self-antigens. Our system should have the power to differentiate between self and non-self-antigens.
The primary and secondary immune responses are carried out by special types of cells -B lymphocyte and T lymphocytes. B lymphocytes produce proteins known as antibodies.These antibodies are found in blood and hence known as humoral immune response. On the other hand T lymphocytes hellps B lymphocytes to produce antibodies. They mediate cell mediated immunity.
