Hint: The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa is the supreme law. It establishes the legal framework for the Republic, lays out its people's privileges and responsibilities, and describes the government structure.

Complete answer:
The Constitution of South Africa is considered to be a model constitution among other democratic nations. The new constitution was drawn up by the Parliament elected in 1994 in the general election of South Africa in 1994. It was adopted by President Nelson Mandela on 18 December 1996 and came into force on 4 February1997, repealing the Provisional Constitution of1993. The first constitution was adopted by the South Africa Act of 1909, the longest-lasting to date. The South Africa Act 1909, unified four British colonies( Cape Colony, Transvaal Colony, Orange River Colony, and Natal Colony )– to the Federation of South Africa. The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1993 or the Provisional Constitution, was adopted after the apartheid era to regulate the transition period. For the first time, it adopted the system of liberal democracy, universal adult suffrage, constitutional supremacy, and the Bill of Rights. Since 1961, the constitutions have enacted a constitutional system of government. The new Constitution, as drafted, marks the end of the apartheid system (a scheme of racially enforced discrimination in South Africa) and grants, people, extensive rights regardless of creed, religion or sex, or race. It also sets the framework for modern South Africa focused on the values of democracy, social justice, democratic values, and human rights. It also paves the way for a democratic system of government in which the members in Parliament can be elected.

Note: The major feature of the South African constitution is it marked the end of the apartheid regime, and it gave extensive rights to the people of South Africa irrespective of their creed, religion or sex, or race. It also lays the basis of new South Africa based on the principles of equality, social justice, democratic values, and human rights. It also paves way for a representative form of democracy where parliament will be elected by the people.
