Maxim Gorky School, Kodaikanal celebrated Nutrition Week from 1st September to 7th September in the school auditorium. The procession started with the lighting of candles by the Vice Principal Ma’am followed by the Principal’s inspirational speech on the present-day health issues and the effect of a balanced diet on it. Then, different schools participated in various competitions organised. The inter-school competitions included cookery contests, painting and poster competition, and oratorical. Talks by medical professionals and eminent nutritionists were also organised. The students and parents gave an extremely overwhelming response since these days everyone is conscious about health and well-being. A speech on the nutritional value of various foods by a junior student was applauded by all. The programme, a combined effort of the students and the teachers received high praise by those present. In the end, the results of all the competitions were announced and the winners were given accolades by our honourable Principal.
