Hint:The heart is a muscular organ that pumps blood throughout the circulatory system. Any problem with pumping or with the blood supply of oxygenated blood to the heart can lead to various heart diseases.
Complete answer:
Angina pectoris, heart failure, cardiac arrest, and heart attack are all diseases of the heart.
>Angina pectoris: It is Cardiac pain/ chest pain that is caused by myocardial ischemia. It is also called angina pectoris.Myocardial ischemia occurs when blood flow to your heart is reduced, preventing the heart muscle from receiving enough oxygen. Ischemia is mainly due to hypoxia (lack of oxygen).
>Heart Failure: Heart failure or cardiac failure is the condition in which the heart loses the ability to pump a sufficient amount of blood to all parts of the body. Heart failure may involve the left ventricle or right ventricle or both.
>Cardiac arrest: Cardiac arrest is the abrupt stopping of pumping of the heart. In this, the heart suddenly stops beating.
>Heart attack: Myocardial infarction also called heart attack is the necrosis of the myocardium caused by insufficient blood flow due to embolism, thrombus, or vascular spasm.
Note:Atherosclerosis is also a disease of the heart wherein there is a partial or complete obstruction of the coronary artery. It is a condition associated with the deposition of cholesterol on the walls of the artery. In due course, this part of the arterial wall becomes fibrotic and it is called atherosclerotic plaque.
