Three ways by which humans affect the water cycle are:
> Hydroelectricity – Most of the usage and generation of electricity is done by hydro dams. In this process, the stored gravitational energy of water changed into electrical energy behind the dam that can be used for generating electricity. This is a non-polluting way through which we can generate electricity. It will not harm the environment.

> Irrigation – The demand for land increases because the population is increasing day by day. For more people, more food is required and for that water is needed. The process of artificial watering of land when through rainfall enough water is not received by lad is called Irrigation. Most countries use methods of irrigation.

> Deforestation – One of the major impacts on the water cycle is the removal of trees which is commonly known as deforestation. One area deforestation affects the weather in other areas as well. Trees evaporate the water into the atmosphere but due to the removal of trees evaporation becomes less into the atmosphere and simultaneously less rainfall occurs.
