Hint: The word sick is defined as affected by some disease or illness and in general not feeling well. Sickness can be caused due to a variety of reasons which can include eating improper food, getting soaked in rain, or other physical factors.

Complete answer:
Whenever someone gets sick, symptoms of the illness start manifesting. The few common symptoms can include fever, sore throat and loose motion. These symptoms indicate that we are sick and need to see a doctor who would be able to determine the cause of the symptoms and also the illness and prescribe medicines so that we can get well soon. If only one of the symptoms is present such as sore throat which is not a major symptom we can wait and see for a few days and try out home remedies, if the sore throat subsides then we might not have to visit a doctor. But if the sore throat prevails then we need to go and see a doctor. But if the symptom is a major one like very high fever then we should not wait and immediately visit the doctor to determine the cause of it. If the doctor prescribes certain tests then those should be also done on priority basis.

Note:
In general for any illness when a person feels sick they should visit a doctor and not delay their visit which can sometimes cause the illness to intensify. Also attention should be given that medicines are taken only after visiting the doctors and after producing a valid prescription.
