Along with Sangli,he also established a parallel government in Satara district. Nana Patil’s full name was Nana Ramchanra Pisal. He was the founder as well as member of the Hindustan Republican Association. The organisation had to go underground between 1929-1932.
Nana Patil directly attacked the British government and he was very accepted among the people. They established many services that would benefit the public like markets, distribution and supply of food grains and judicial systems to settle grievances.
