Hint: Jaundice is caused by the build-up bilirubin in the blood and the tissues of the body. The organ which gets affected by its secretion is responsible for the emulsification of fats and it is the largest glandular organ.

Complete answer:
The yellowish discoloration of the skin, eyes (Sclerae), and other mucous membranes of the body are called jaundice. The technical term used to describe jaundice is; icterus’, caused due to the accumulation of bilirubin in the body tissues and blood.
Bilirubin is a generated waste product produced from the breakdown of the red blood cells. It is then transported to the liver through the blood where it is combined with a digestive fluid called bile.
Due to the underdeveloped liver in the infants, Jaundice is more common in them.
Symptoms-
-Colour of skin and sclerae changes to yellow
-Urine color also changes to yellow
-Fever accompanied by Vomiting
-Abdominal pain and weight loss

Additional Information: Types of Jaundice-
-Hepatocellular jaundice, which is caused due to liver damage due to infection or excessive alcohol consumption can be treated by the repairing of the liver by liver transplantation.
-Hemolytic Jaundice, caused when RBCs break down at an accelerated rate, resulting in more bilirubin, this condition can be seen during infectious diseases like malaria, etc. This can be treated by acting to the specific cause.
-Obstructive Jaundice, which is caused when bilirubin is unable to be discharged from the liver. For this, the surgery is performed to clear the blockage.
So, the correct answer is, ’ Liver.’

Note: Bilirubin is usually discharging through the excretory system via stool and urine. But if under any circumstances if the bilirubin cannot be propelled through the liver then it gets accumulated in the blood causing jaundice.
