Hint: In the question we have to check whether 25 is a composite number or not. A composite number is a positive integer. Composite numbers are those numbers that have more than two factors. So, in order to solve this question, we will follow the procedure: first of all we will find the factors of 25 and check whether 25 satisfies the conditions of the composite number or not. And hence, we get the required result.

Complete step by step answer:
We know that composite numbers are those numbers that have more than two factors. In other words, we can say a number which is divisible by a number other than one and itself, is known as a composite number. Also, composite numbers can be defined as the integers that can be generated by multiplication of two smallest positive integers. These numbers should contain at least one divisor other than one.

Now, in the question, we have to check whether 25 is a composite number or not.So, first of all let’s find the factors of 25. As 25 can be written as 5×5. So, the factors of 25 are 1, 5 and 25. We can clearly see that it has factors other than one and itself. So, this number has a factor 5 other than one and itself.

Hence,25 is a composite number.

Note: Whenever we get this type of problems the key concept of solving is we should have the knowledge about how to check composite numbers. Also note that composite numbers are different from prime numbers. As prime numbers have only two factors that are one and itself while the composite numbers have more than two factors other than one and itself. Every composite number is made up of two or more prime numbers.
