Hint: India is a country located in southern Asia. It has a variety of physical features ranging from mountain walls, plains, plateau, deserts, and island groups to coastal plains.

Complete answer:India is a peninsular country with its three sides south, south-west and south-east surrounded by the water bodies. The western side coastal plains are surrounded by the Arabian sea while the eastern side coastal plains lie along the Bay of Bengal. Both these water bodies form part of the larger Indian ocean present south to India.
The Great Himalayan Mountains are present in the North. These prevent the country from extreme cold and perennial rivers from here form lifelines of the people. These mountain walls continue to guard the north-eastern areas as well.
The Great Indian or Thar Desert lies in the North-Western part. This area therefore, west to Aravalli receives very less rainfall being on the rain shadow side of monsoon current. This also includes the salt marshes of Gujrat known as the Great Rann of Kutch.
The Great Northern Plains forms the most fertile plains drained by river networks of Indus, Ganga and Brahmaputra. The Gangetic plain is the largest one supported by tributaries too as Yamuna, Ghaghra, Gandak, Kosi (sorrow of Bihar), etc.
The Deccan plateau is located to the south of the Vindhyas, with edges on both sides called Eastern and Western Ghats. It is drained by a number of rivers and is a habit to a variety of flora and fauna.
Hence, option B is the correct answer.

Note: India has been very strategically located on the important world trade sea route networks. Its coastlines on both the sides from ancient times took part in the Indian ocean spice trade and other exotic items.
