Hint:We cannot store glucose as it will increase the blood sugar level so we convert the same into another form.An excessive amount of glucose in the body converted into other form (homopolysaccharides of glucose) and stored in liver cells.

Complete answer:
The other fom is glycogen(homopolysaccharide) as insulin acts on adipocytes and hepatocytes(liver cells) and convert the glucose in to glycogen(gluconeogenesis),when more glucose is formed in the body.At the time of need of instant energy we can use this glycogen, glucagon hormone is responsible for this conversion.(gluconeogenesis).Together they maintain the blood glucose level.Liver is the largest gland in our body.It can produce glucose from any other form too like from amines and proteins. This same process occurs in plants and the storage form is basically starch. In muscles(1%) too glycogen is present but generally in a lower concentration than liver(8%).

Hence option ‘C’ is the correct answer.

Note:If there is any abnormality in case of no insulin ,more amounts of glycogen starts accumulating and a larger amount of glucose enters in to urine(glycosuria) resulting in to a disease called diabetes mellitus. It is of 2 types 1 and 2 .Glycogen is a multi branched polymer of glucose.
