Hint: As the above equation is in form of linear equation, in order to solving it we have to separate the like terms at one side, then by using BODMAS we will determine the value of unknown quantity $''x''$
As here$7x$ is in the left side of equation while $2x$ is in right side of equation, so for solving shift 2x from right to left side of equation then apply the BODMAS rule for determining the value of $''x''$

Complete step-by-step solution:
As per data given in the question,
As we have,
$\Rightarrow 7x-1=2x+5$
Now separating the like terms, like shifting all the terms which consists $''x''$ and shifting all the remaining constants in the right side of equal to,
We will get,
$\Rightarrow 7x-1=2x+5$
\[\Rightarrow 7x-2x=5+1\]
As here $''2x''$ is positive so when it will be shifted in left side of equation it becomes$''-2x''$ , in a similar way $''-1''$ when shifted to the right side of equation becomes $''1''$
So,
Applying the BODMAS in both side of equation,
We will get,
$\Rightarrow 5x=6$
As, here, 5 is in division with $''x''$, so for calculating the value we need to shift $5$ from left side to the right side of equation,
So, when $5$ will be shifted from left side to right side it will comes in division,
So,
\[\Rightarrow 5x=6\]
$\Rightarrow x=\dfrac{6}{5}$

So, value of $''x''$ will be $=\dfrac{6}{5}=1.2$

Note: When we move any mathematical expression from left to right side or vice versa then the sign of the expression gets reversed.
Like, $2x+1=2,$ if we move $1$ from left side to right side i.e. after equal to then the positive sign of $+1$ get converted into negative sign,
Thus, it will equal to $2x=2-1$
