Hint: In the solid matrix of bone some longitudinal canals are present called the Haversian canal. Each haversian canal contains an artery , a vein , a lymph vessel, a nerve and some bone cells , all packed in connective tissue. The matrix is present in the form of lamellae. In these lamella are present ring-shaped fluid-filled spaces called lacunae. The bone is a connective tissue that protects soft tissues and organs. This canal carries blood vessels and nerves.
Complete answer:
> Glandular connective tissue:- when cells of connective tissues become specialized for secretion it is known as glandular tissue. The Haversian canal is not present in this. Hence this option is not correct.
> Skeletal connective tissue:- in the matrix of bone haversian canal are present. Bone forms the structural framework of the body. The tissue that forms the structure framework of the body is called skeletal tissue. Hence this option is correct.
> Fibrous connective tissue :- the tissue that consists of fibres and fibroblast are called fibrous tissue. This does not contain haversian canals. Hence this option is not correct.
> Nervous tissue:- the tissue that transmits messages in our body is called nervous tissue. This does not contain a haversian canal. Hence this option is not correct.
Therefore, The correct answer is option (B).
Note: Compact bone composed of many parallel, longitudinal , column-like structures called haversian system. They are cemented to each other. Haversian canals are connected to each other by Volkmann canals. In each haversian system , several concentric layers of bony matrix encircle a longitudinal central canal called a haversian canal.
