Hint: 1.Telophase is the fourth and last stage of mitosis.
2.Telophase is followed by completion of cytokinesis which is the cytoplasmic division. Telo means ends.
Complete answer:
Option A: At anaphase, which is the preceding stage of telophase, the microtubule attached to the kinetochore shortens and daughter chromosomes moves to the poles of dividing cell. And at telophase , a new nuclear envelope re-forms around each group of daughter chromosomes. Now the cell will have two nuclear membranes on each pole of the cell. Therefore, this is a correct option.
Option B: Once the group of daughter chromosomes are at the poles of the cell, they unfold back to the thread like chromatin structure from their condensed form. Nucleolus which has disappeared at the prophase will begin to reappear. Therefore, this is a correct option.
Option C: The pulling force exerted by astral rays or astral microtubules pull the poles apart at later stages of anaphase. Then, during telophase once the poles are apart these astral rays disappear. Therefore, this is a correct option.
Option D: Since all options A, B, C are true, the correct option is all of the above.
During telophase, the cell will continue to elongate. And at the late stages of telophase, a pinching in appears at the middle of the cell and this develops to a cleavage furrow which will eventually grow and result in cytoplasmic division.
Hence, the correct answer is option (D)
Note: The events occurring at telophase are mostly the reversal of events of prophase. During prophase, the chromatin condenses to form defined chromosomes, nucleolus disappears and nuclear membrane dissolves. These events are reversed at telophase.
