A knife is a very common tool that we use in our kitchen. We all have used the knife very commonly at our home. It is used to cut vegetables and fruits. The knife which we used regularly is made up of metals like iron and steel because it is very strong, hard and durable. If after some time, the knife loses sharpness, it can be sharpened again. It can be moulded into shapes that we desire. To cut things, we need a very sharp object. If a knife is made up of wood, it will not be as sharp as it is made up of metal like steel and iron. It will not do things properly. The knife made up of wood will not be strong. It will get broken very easily.
Hence, the knife made out of wood cannot be used for chopping and cutting purposes. This is the reason that the knife is made up of metal not wood.
