-Bats are the only mammal on earth that can fly and also it belongs to the most different groups of mammals.
-The forelimbs of bats are adapted as wings so that's why they are capable of taking a sustained flight.

-Many of the characteristics of bats are similar to mammals living on earth like-

2)They also have hairs on the body and have mammary glands to feed their babies.
-There are many types of bats like there are some bats who eat fruits and pollinate flowers. Some bats catch fishes and some also feed on blood known as vampire bats.
-Bats are mostly active at night. Hence they are nocturnal. During the day, they can be found inside the caves, under the bark of the tree, and in many dark places also.
-With the help of echolocation and sonar, they are able to locomote in the dark and can detect their prey and hunt them because they send a vocal signal and listen to the waves of a sound that bounces back from their prey.
Note: Besides causing many disadvantages to humans like disease, it also provides some benefits like the dung of bats still used in many places.
-Bats eat insects, pest. Thus, automatically reduce the need for pesticides and other measures for pest management.
