Hint: It's the microscopic structural and functional unit of the kidney. It's made up of the renal corpuscle and the renal tubule. The renal corpuscle comprises a tuft of capillaries called a glomerulus and an encompassing Bowman's capsule. The renal tubule extends from the capsule.
Complete answer:
A nephron is the main functional part of the filtration unit of the kidney. it's a cluster of thin-walled blood capillaries. There are different parts of the nephron during which the formation of urine happens which is the main function of the kidney.
Bowman's capsule and therefore the glomerulus are together called because of the glomerular apparatus.
The blood is filtered by the glomerulus and enters the Bowman's capsule where the podocytes help within the filtration and therefore the glomerular filtrate is made.
When the glomerular filtrate involves the proximal tubule then the essential nutrients are reabsorbed.
There are two types of limbs present in the loop of Henle, the first one is ascending and the second one is the descending limb.
The countercurrent exchange mechanism occurs which helps within the regulation of the water and ions within the blood.
When the glomerular filtrate is within the proximal tubule creatinine, acid is secreted in it.
When the filtrate goes to the distal convoluted tubule urea, potassium ion and a few hydrogen ions are secreted in it.
The urine which is made is transported by the collecting tubules to the pelvis.
The urine is transported out by the ureters to the bladder to store and excrete the urine from the urethra.
Additional information:
The loop of Henle may be a U-shaped tube that extends from the proximal tubule. It starts inside the cortex, accepting filtrate from the proximal convoluted tubule, stretches out into the medulla in light of the fact that the descending limb, at that point re-visitations of the cortex in light of the fact that the ascending limb to purge into the distal convoluted tubule. The primary function of the loop of Henle is to empower a life form to gracefully think urine, not by expanding the rounded focus, but rather by delivering the extracellular fluid hypertonic.
Note:
Every distal convoluted tubule delivers its filtrate to a system of collecting ducts, and the primary segment of which is that of the connecting tubule. The collecting duct system begins within the cortex and extends deep into the medulla. because the urine travels down the collecting duct system, it passes by the medullary interstitium which features a high sodium concentration as a result of the loop of Henle's countercurrent multiplier system.
