Hint: Bharatiya Jana Sangh was in support of Hindu nationalist volunteer organizations. The political party was formed in 1951 and lasted till 1977. The first general election in which the party took part was in 1951–52, and they won only three Lok Sabha seats.

Complete Answer:
The Bharatiya Jana Sangh political party's full name is Akhil Bharatiya Jana Sangh. BJS was an Indian right-wing political party and was supported by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The party's symbol was an oil lamp. Syama Prasad Mookerjee was part of the Hindu Mahasabha political party but after 1949, he left the party because of a disagreement over permitting non-Hindu membership. And finally, on 21 October 1951 in Delhi, delegates who came from all over India chose Shyama Prasad Mukherjee as president of their newly formed party named 'Bharatiya Jana Sangh' with the collaboration of RSS.
Bharatiya Jana Sangh maintained a very close relationship with RSS. Also, their ideology was similar enough. They adopted an eight-point program for their ideological core which were-
(i) United Bharat,
(ii) Reciprocity instead of appeasement towards Pakistan,
(iii) An independent foreign policy consistent with Bharat’s paramount self-interest,
(iv) Rehabilitation of refugees with suitable compensation from Pakistan,
(v) Increased production of goods, especially food and cloth, and decentralization of industry,
(vi) Development of a single Bharatiya culture,
(vii) Equal rights for all citizens regardless of caste, community, or creed, and improvement of the backward classes’ standard,
(viii) Readjustment of West Bengal’s boundary with Bihar.
Shyama Prasad Mukherjee remained the President of Bhartiya Jana Sangh till 1952. He died due to a heart attack in Kashmir in the year 1953 where he was kept in custody on account of illegally entering Kashmir
So, the correct answer is Option D.

Note: Bharatiya Jana Sangh was formed after Shyama Prasad Mukherjee left Hindu Mahasabha. The party's ideology centered on Hindutva. The party was merged with several other parties in 1977 and formed the Janata Party to oppose the Indian National Congress.
