From the 1920s until the 1940s, the Indian Independence League was a political organisation that organised people residing outside of India to fight for the end of British colonial rule in India. It was founded by Indian nationalists and operated in many countries of Southeast Asia. It featured Indian expatriates as well as Indian nationalists living in exile during the Japanese occupation.

Rash Behari Bose founded this political movement. Rash Behari Bosh was the IIL's first president (Indian independence league).
