Hint:
He was a social reformer in the princely state of Travancore, British India, working for the development of poor untouchable individuals. His contributions have inspired many reforms that have strengthened the social well-being of those individuals, also referred to today as Dalits.

Complete answer:
The Sadhujana Paripalana Sangham (SJPS) was established in 1907 by social reformer Ayyankali with the support of the government of Travancore, British India, to campaign for Dalit education in Kerala.

Soon after the establishment, Ayyankali tried to expand its operations to Travancore as a whole. He focused on Southern Travancore as the first part of this mission, supported by energetic activities such as Thaivilakath Kail, Moolayil Kali, Thomas Vadyar, Vellomkolli Velayudhan, and his brothers: Chathan, Gopalan, Velayudhan, and Velukkutti.

Several branches of SJPS were founded in different parts of Travancore within eight years of its inception. The headquarters were built in the native village of Venganoor in Ayyankali.
SJPS, the first ever publication to be published by the Dalit community, has published a monthly magazine, Sadhujana Paripalini. The founding editor was Kali Chodikkuruppan. The printing of the long-defunct magazine is due to resume on 5 January 2014.

As the numerous constituent untouchable communities formed their own pressure groups, the organization became fragmented over time and government interference in affairs relevant to them took over its space. It ended up comprising mostly members of the community of Pulayar, of which Ayyankali was a part.

Therefore the correct answer is C

Note
Ayyankali was born on August 28, 1863, to Maala and Ayyan at Venganoor, which is now in Thiruvananthapuram district. As a boy, the caste discrimination he experienced made him a leader of an anti-caste movement who later fought for fundamental rights.
