Hint: Force upon objects may change the rate of acceleration basically make it speed up or make it speed down (deceleration) or change in direction or change in shape are the possible outcomes.
Complete answer:
Force act upon an object in following ways:
-Change of acceleration
-Speeding up
-Speeding down
-Change is direction
-Change in Shape
As there is change in acceleration, we can say force changes velocity. The direction from which the force is being acted upon an object decides whether the acceleration is being increased or decreased. There are many other factors in play as well such as the friction, the shape of the object, the direction of the force being acted upon which will result in how much acceleration or deceleration is being done on the object.
From which direction the force is acting upon and the shape of the object decides the change in direction of the object. The material of the object decides the change in shape as rigid materials do not tend to change in shape but objects made of liquids or less rigid substances tend to change the shape much quickly.
Note:There are many internal and external factors which decides if there is any change and the rate of change. i.e., internal factors such as the direction of the force, the intensity of the force, the rate of force. Nature of the force decides the internal factors. External are the factors which play a role but are not associated with the force which is acting as in friction between floor and object, slope of the surface, shape of the object and material of the object.
