Hint: Evolution is the process where various parts of a new organism are developed from previous ones by modification. The theory of evolution was given by Darwin, in his book the origin of species.

Complete step by step answer:
-According to this theory, the first living material i.e., protoplasm has been formed in the ocean. Eventually and gradually with the passage of time, unicellular organisms were formed.
-With the passage of time, changes occurred in unicellular organisms from which larger and more complex organisms were formed. All those changes were very slow and gradual.
- Duration of all these changes is almost 300 crore years. Changes and development in living organisms had been all around and multidimensional and this led to evolution of different types of organisms. Hence this overall process is called evolution which is organizational.
-Progressive development of plants and animals from their ancestors and possessing different structural and functional organizations is termed as evolution. All these theories imply that evolution is an everlasting process of changes.
- However to support the theory, various evidences can be mentioned-
Anatomical evidence- there is similarly a structure of bones and bony joints in organs of each of those animals. This evidence shows that those animals may have common ancestors. The theory of evolution by natural selection was for the first time formulated by Darwin, in his book ''on the origin of species''. This is the process by which organisms undergo various changes over time. This change occurs as a result of change in heritable physical or behavioral traits. As a result of these changes, organisms adapt to their environment which further helps them to survive and have more offspring.
Embryological evidence says that all embryos show extreme similarities during initial stages and those similarities decrease gradually. Similarities in initial stages indicate the common origin of all animals.

 Note:
Studies show that if two or more species have a large number of similarities, then they somehow tend to live near to each other.
Fossils are the naturally preserved body parts or remains or impressions of the body.
