Complete answer :
Rajasthan is the largest state of India and is situated on the northwestern side of the country.
This state comprises the Thar Desert, also called The Great Indian Desert. The northwestern part of Rajasthan is dry and sandy and is covered by the Thar Desert. The desert is very thinly populated. Towns and districts like Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer etc. are situated here. Jodhpur is the largest town in the Thar Desert.
Rajasthan is surrounded by five Indian states: Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. The tropic of cancer passes through the southernmost tip of the state. The state also has the Aravalli mountain range and only one hill station, Mount Abu. The land to the east and southeast of the Aravalli Hills is fertile and well-watered.
Vagad is the wettest place in Rajasthan and is densely forested. To its north lie cities like Udaipur, Chittorgarh, and Jaipur. Jaipur is the largest city and the capital of the state. This region is drained by rivers Chambal and Banas, which are tributaries of river Ganga.
Rajasthan is also famous for its wildlife. It has three national tiger reserves: The Ranthambore National Park(Sawai), The Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve (Kota) and the Sariska Tiger Reserve(Alwar).
The eastern part of Rajasthan is also home to the Keoladeo National Park in Bharatpur. This place is famous for the birds which immigrate to this national park during the winter season. They attract a lot of tourists during this time. The Desert National Park in Jaisalmer exhibits the ecosystem of the Thar Desert and its diverse fauna.
Rajasthan, literally meaning, Land of Kings, is also home to a number of palaces, forts, temples, Havelis etc. which are all now part of India’s great architectural heritage.

Note :
Rajasthan has become the first state in the country to pass a bill to protect people against coronavirus infection.
Under this new bill, the Rajasthan Epidemic Act was amended by the state assembly on November 2, 2020.
The Thar Desert, the diverse fauna and the historical places in Rajasthan make it quite an attraction for tourists. It is the fifth most attractive tourist place for foreigners.
