Hint:Liquid-Liquid mixtures are those types of mixtures in which both solute and solvent are liquid. Such an example of these types of mixtures is oil in water.
In moisture, the substance which is present in greater amounts is called solvent and the substances present in lesser amounts are called solute . There are many types of solution depending upon the nature of solute and solvent we have 9-types of solution.
Complete step by step answer:
(1)Solid in gas mixture: the mixture in which solvent is gas and solute is solid. E.g. : small dust particles in air etc.
(2)Liquid in gas mixture: The mixture in which solvent is gas and solute is liquid. Eg humidity in air etc.,
(3)Gas in gas mixture: The mixture in which solvent is gas and solvent is also gas.eg air (mixture of gas) etc.
(4) Solid in liquid mixture :The mixture in which solvent is liquid and solutes. E.g.: seat in water etc.
(5)Liquid in liquid mixture: The mixture in which solvent is liquid and solutes is also.eg : ethanol dissolved in water.
(6)Gas in liquid mixture: The mixture in which solvent is liquid and solute is gas.eg oxygen dissolved in water.
(7)Solid in solid mixtures: The mixture in which solute and solvent both is solid. Eg formation of always etc.
(8) Liquid in solid mixture: The mixture in which solvent is solid and solute is liquid.eg hydrate salts lip .
(9) Gas in solid mixture -The mixture in which solute is gas and solvent is solid far e.g. gases dissolved in minerals.
Now according to the question we get to know muddy water is a solid-liquids mixture smoke is a solid-gas mixture and is solid-solid mixture. Hence oil in water is a liquid-liquid mixture.
So the option (A) is the correct answer.
Note:
Mixtures and solutions are a common occurrence in our everyday lives. They are the air we breathe, the food and drink we consume and the fabrics we wear.Different types of mixtures have their importance in daily life.Mixtures are also used in many processes including still manufacturing chemical industry and many others.
