Hint:
It, based in the Madras Presidency, was an Indian nationalist body. It is considered a precursor of the Indian National Congress, along with the Poona Sarvajanik Sabha, the Bombay Presidency Association and the Indian Association.

Its first conference was held between 29 December 1884 and 2 January 1885.
Mahatma Gandhi, the patriarch of the country, gave a speech at the Mahajana Sabha meeting on October 24, 1896. The Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Sabha were also attended by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Complete answer:
The Madras Mahajan Sabha was established in 1884 by Viraraghavachari, P. Ananda-charlu and B. Aiyer Subramaniya to coordinate the efforts of the local organization and provide a focus on non-official information distributed across the Presidency. At the beginning, the group took a moderate stance on criticizing government policy. The Mahajan Sabha members felt the need to set up an All India association to alleviate and liberate the country from the grasp of British rule and solve the problems of the Indians. The founders of the Sabha articulated the idea very clearly at the Adayar Theosophical Society meeting, attended by many patriots and politicians, who later materialized it by establishing the Indian National Congress. Madras Mahajana Sabha was considered a special and holy organisation that paved the way for the national independence of India by the South Indians. Thus, since 1884, the Sabha has articulated the constitutional rights of our countrymen, such as national independence and other common social concerns for the benefit of our fellow citizens. It has formed a very close relationship with the Indian National Congress and its activities since 1920.

Note:
When the British government outlawed the Congress Party, Madras Mahajana Sabha organized various exhibits to evoke patriotic emotions in the hearts of their countrymen, such as the All India Khadi Exhibition and the Swadeshi Exhibition.

Furthermore, until 1996, the Sabha ran a nursery school in the name of Sri Kamarajar for the children of the very poor and downtrodden people, such as rickshaws, scavengers and workers.

From 1980 to 2001, the Sabha met with a great deal of financial support for its administration. The managers like P.G. Nataraja Mudaliar, Myilai M.P. Gnanasundram, K. Ramanathan, and C.T. Shanmugam, rendered great service during this time and assistance to the functioning of the Sabha. Their services during this time are exemplary and praiseworthy. In 2010, the Madras Mahajana Sabha celebrated its 125th year.
