Step by step answer:Medicinal plants like Aloe Vera, coriander, basil, mint, bay leaves, curry leaves, etc. can be grown at home in India. Out of which the main two medicinal plants are grown are Aloe Vera and Basil.
1) Aloe Vera is a succulent and perennial plant that is one of the oldest known medicinal plants and grows in tropical, semi-tropical, and arid climates. It has both cosmetic and medicinal uses as it can be used as a gel, drink, cream, etc. for skincare and burnt purposes. The main constituents of the Aloe vera leaves are phytochemicals like acetylated mannans, polymannans, anthraquinone C-glycosides, anthrones, and some anthraquinones, such as emodin and various lectin.
2) Basil is a tender culinary herb as it is used in many cuisines over the world and they are annual tropical plants that grow in a warm climate. Different essential oils are obtained from the different varieties of the basils and the scents are produced because of the oils in different proportions for various cultivars, also the essential oil from European basil contains high concentrations of linalool and methyl chavicol also called estragole, and other constituents present in the basil include: 1,8-cineole, eugenol, and myrcene eugenol give the clove scent of sweet basil and the aroma of basil includes 1,8-cineole and methyl eugenol.
