Hint: Replication term means a copy of something. In DNA, we notice complementary base pairing between the nucleotides- purines and the pyrimidines. Here, Adenine bonds with only thymine while cytosine bonds with guanine.

DNA i.e. deoxyribonucleic acid is the molecule that possesses the genetic information that creates a difference in each individual. At the time of reproduction, DNA is passed from the parent to its progeny. DNA is a duplex i.e. possess two strands, both of which run in opposite or antiparallel directions from each other. These two strands leads to the formation of double helix structure of DNA.
The replication of DNA is done by splitting it into two strands, each of which act as a template for a new strand. With the help of complementary base pairing, we will observe the presence of two new strands and this process is known as DNA replication. The end result of DNA replication, as the name suggests is the duplication of DNA content of the cell. This happens at the S phase of the cell cycle. DNA replication is semi-conservative as we know that the new DNA duplex contains a new as well as an old strand.
So the end result of Dna replication is two identical molecules of DNA.

Once the synthesis of DNA is done, it is of much importance that the newly synthesized DNA strand is bound and stabilized.
