Binary Fission: In their organisation, prokaryotes are much simpler than eukaryotes. There are a lot of organelles in eukaryotes, as well as more chromosomes. The normal method of cell division of prokaryotes is called binary fission. The prokaryotic chromosome is a single DNA molecule that first reproduces, then binds each copy to another part of the cell membrane. When the cell starts to pull apart the replicate and the original chromosomes are segregated. After cell division (cytokinesis), there are two cells with similar genetic makeup.
