The smallest amount of charge that can exist is defined as
$e = 1.6 \times {10^{ - 19}}C$ and total charge on a body is equal to the no. of charge carriers times the basic unit of charge.
Using this information, we can calculate the number of electrons flowing through a wire. We are given

t = 1ms = {10^{ - 3}}s \\

Now, $I = \dfrac{{ne}}{t} \Rightarrow n = \dfrac{{It}}{e}$
