Hint: Eggs are released by females and they are gamete cells having haploid number of chromosomes. Which will further undergo fertilization with male gamete and zygote that is the diploid cell will be produced.

Complete answer:
Humans reproduce through sexual reproduction in which male and female gametes are released in individual male and females respectively.
Females release eggs (female gametes) and males release sperms (male gametes).
Then fertilisation happens for the fusion of male and female gametes (Fertilisation also takes place inside the female body) and zygote form which develops inside the female body into foetus and from foetus whole new individual is formed. Foetus gets its nutrition from its mother through the placenta. Now, we know that gametes are haploid cells which contain half the number of chromosomes as compared to a diploid cell. In human being diploid cell have twenty-three pair of chromosomes in which 22 pairs are autosomes and one pair- sex chromosomes.
Sex chromosomes are different in males and females. In males sex chromosome is XY and in females it is XX. So, when inside a female egg is released it will be released from a parent cell which has XX chromosomes. Thus, after meiosis four daughter cells will be formed which will have only one X chromosome.

Thus, our answer will be option ’C’, that is one X chromosome.

Additional information: When meiosis takes place inside a male, it will also generate four daughter cells but here parent cell is XY so it will have two cells having X chromosome and Two cells having Y chromosome.

Note:
Egg which is female gamete is released from female and female have two XX chromosomes as sex chromosomes. After meiosis when gametes are generated, they all will be single “X-chromosome”. It will contain only X-chromosome.
