Hint: The most crucial events in the process of reproduction are Fertilization and Implantation. The fusion of sperm with egg to form a zygote plays a major role during the process of fertilization and later the embryo gets implanted in the uterine wall for the further development of the organism.

Complete answer:
Genetic abnormalities or chromosomal abnormalities are conditions caused by changes in one or more genes or any abnormalities due to the presence or absence of one or more chromosomes. Inherited disorders are caused by gene mutations. Some of the genetic abnormalities that are caused during pregnancy such as Down syndrome, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, Fragile X syndrome and Tay-Sachs disease.
The condition in which the fertilized egg attaches itself or gets implanted in a location somewhere outside the uterus is called ectopic pregnancy. Normally, a fertilized egg travels through the uterine tube (fallopian tube) and sticks to the thickened line of the uterine wall. But in rare cases, ectopic pregnancy occurs when the fertilised egg gets implanted in any one of the ovaries or either side of fallopian tubes or in a woman’s cervix. This condition is also known as tubal pregnancy. The fallopian tube doesn't have enough space for the embryo to grow and it may lead to severe serious issues in the development of foetus.
Due to fluctuation in the level of hormones for the females of reproductive age, sometimes it will lead to the termination of pregnancy or miscarriage and this condition of hormonal imbalance is known as Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)

Hence, the correct answer is option (B).

Note: In India, under the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act permits abortion as legal and allows woman to abort and terminate her pregnancy even after 24 weeks if it is found that the woman’s foetus suffers from ‘Down Syndrome.’
