Hint: Conjugation is a union of two substances. In terms of bio, we can define the process of provisional combination of two bacteria or unicellular organisms just like Paramecium for the exchange of genetic drift is termed as conjugation. In common, we can tell it includes the fusion of two gametes, mainly when they are of comparable magnitude.

Complete answer:
Numerous species of single-celled microscopic organisms are present in the genus of Paramecium. Cilia is the term which is characterized by a lady's slipper surrounded by tiny hair-like appendages. It is the so-called microorganism present in Paramecium.

With the help of the process of meiosis, the division of the diploid micronucleus of each conjugant takes place. Since this happened, it, in turn, leads to the production of four haploid daughter micronuclei.

In these four haploid daughter micronuclei, which are formed, the three degenerates’ micronuclei in each conjugate. Besides, the one which remains ends up diving into two 2 unequal pronuclei while undergoing the process of mitosis.

Hence, the correct answer is option (A).

Note: In general, organisms such as Paramecia are found in slow stirring and still form of freshwater. Significantly, they are formed rich in areas that contain large quantities of pond scum. Normally, these types of areas are also rich in algae. Thus, we can say that the single-celled organism such as paramecia is most likely to be formed only in water bodies.
We can say that water and nutrition are the reasons for this occurrence. In water bodies, organisms like paramecium can get plenty of food and water for their development and mechanism respectively.
