
How does the density change as depth increases with the earth?

Hint: Density is the measure of the amount of mass can be kept inside the volume. Hence the density is described as mass by volume. The objects less in density are said as light objects. The objects which have high density are heavier objects. The mass changes the properties of the objects. In the same way, the density also changes the behaviour of an object.

(i) When the depth of the earth increases, the pressure acting on the earth also increases. Increasing the depth is simply applying force over the particular area. We know that the pressure is the measurement equals the force by area.

(iii) The m indicates mass and V indicates volume. The density is directly proportional to mass and inversely proportional to the volume. Therefore, when the volume decreases, the density increases.
