Hint: There are two different types of image, i.e. real image and virtual image. A real image is formed when the focus point of rays (reflected) are converging rays. A real image can be obtained by a mirror or lens which forms an image by converging rays.
Complete solution:
First we need to know what an image is. “Image is defined as the collection of focus points of the light rays that are coming from an object.”
Focus point is also known as image point where all rays from the object are focused and make an image.
Now coming to the point, what is the real image?
So there are two types of image formed.
(i) Real image
(ii) Virtual image.
Real image:
A real image is the collection of focus points which is made by converging rays.
Now let’s see what a converging ray is.
Converging rays:-
Converging rays come together or focus together after reflection and refraction at a single point which we discussed above that this point is known as focus.
Now let’s see obtain a real image:-
A real image can be obtained by the concave mirrors and converging lenses but the object should be away from the focal point of the concave mirrors and the converging lenses.
Let’s see by one example,
Consider As we can see from the figure that the rays are converging from the concave lenses and from the real image.
Note:
As an approach to this question first we saw what an image is then we saw types of image and after that we learnt what the real image(A real image is the collection of focus points which is made by converging rays)is and how to obtain it by an example and the definition.
