No, the answer to this question is a big NO. As the galvanometer is used to check the current flow direction and the magnitude of the direct current. That’s why the resistance of the galvanometer is nearly zero. A galvanometer consists of such a needle attached to a coil mounted such that the coil is allowed to pivot freely within a magnetic field created by the poles of one or more permanent magnets.
This is somewhere similar to ammeter but both are different devices. Ammeter can only show us the current magnitude not the direction. A Galvanometer's needle can fluctuate in two directions whereas an ammeter's needle can only show one side deflection. Galvanometer can help us to detect only direct current whereas ammeter detects both ac and dc. Galvanometer shows needle at zero when connected to ac source.
When we have to observe readings of the circuit with a galvanometer having very high resistance then we have to put a shunt resistance to it to reduce the overall resistance of the combination to get the correct readings.

As we know, nothing can’t be ideal on this earth. Ideally we should have a galvanometer with zero resistance but in reality we have galvanometers of nearly zero resistance or we can say negligible resistance in our labs.
