How does friction affect newton’s second law?

Hint: An object will accelerate in the direction of the net force. This is called newton’s second law. This acceleration causes the object to slow its forward motion and ultimately stop since the force of the friction is opposite to the direction of the movement.

Complete solution:
Newton’s second law states that acceleration is proportional to the net force acting on an object.

Now we know that the vector sum of all the forces applied to the object is the net force in essence, it is known as an unbalanced force.

We know that friction often works in the opposite direction of the motion.

This means that if there is friction, it contracts and cancels some of the force that induces the motion.

This implies a decreased net force and a smaller acceleration.

If we take the example that if a block is sliding on the surface the force of the friction is the unbalanced force.

In this example the acceleration of a block is proportional to the amount of the friction plus friction and the block slows to stop faster.

As an approach to know effect of the friction on the newton’s second law we see the statement of the newton’s second law and then we see how friction affect the second law of the newton’s by understanding concept of the unbalanced force and by using an example of the block which is sliding on the surface.
