Hint: The language which is understood by the computer is known as binary language. Any input given to the computer is converted in the binary form and processed. This comes under the digital signals. While analog signals vary from the digital signals in many properties and we will discuss them.
Complete step by step answer:
Note:
After the arrival of digital signals, analog signals usage has been declined. The common thing is that both are used to carry the information. In the binary system only two digits are used and they are called binary values. They are 0 and 1. Usually it is understood like 0 means off and 1 means on. In the diode problems, we connect them with the logic circuits. There if we get output as 1 then it is forward bias and 0 output means reverse bias.
Complete step by step answer:
| ANALOG | DIGITAL |
| 1) They are the continuous signals | 1) They are the discontinuous signals |
| 2) They vary continuously with both time and the value. | 2) They are discrete with the time and the value |
| 3) They are usually represented with sine function | 3) They are usually represented with step function |
| 4) All the naturally produced waves are the analog signals like human voice and natural sounds | 4) Signals used in computers and optical drives come under the discrete signals |
| 5) It will take the waveform input as it is | 5) It will take the waveform input and convert it to binary form |
| 6) These can be used in analog devices only | 6) They are used in computers and mobiles |
