Hint:Chemical kinetics also known as reaction kinetics which is the branch of physical chemistry. This study is about understanding the rates of chemical reactions. It also includes the study of how conditions change the speed or yield of reaction.
Complete step-by-step answer:Chemical kinetics was first discovered by the scientist named Augustus George Vernon Harcourt. He was the English chemist who first contributed to the field of chemical kinetics and planned experiments to study the chemical kinetics. However Ludwing Fredinand Wilhelmy was considered as the father of chemical kinetics as he was the first who studied the rate of inversion.
Generally chemical kinetics study about the factors which affect the reaction rate like the nature of reactant, physical state of reactant whether the reactant is in solid, liquid or gaseous in nature, surface area of solid state where if we crush the solid into smaller parts in this reaction occurs more rapidly. Reaction rate also depends upon the concentration, temperature, catalyst this is generally a substance which is used for the purpose of increasing the rate of reaction, pressure also increases the rate of reaction if it increases and absorption of light.
Note:The term kinetics deals with the rate of change of some quantity. Kinetics also tell us about the rate of formation and rate of disappearance of any chemical reaction. In kinetics we can also study about the graphs of reaction and in this different type of order of reactions is also studied.
