Hint: Russian empire was founded in November ,1721 that expanded across Eurasia and North America ,following the end of the Great Northern war. Russia has a history of wars, revolution, autocracy and the idea of socialism which inspired many nations in the world. Tsar Nicholas II ruled the Russian empire in 1914 as an absolute monarch. Participation of Russia in WWI became the major cause of Russian Revolution.

Under the leadership of Tsar Nicholas II of the Romanov dynasty ,Russia participated in WWI. Russia was not like a country like today at that time but it was a huge empire. The empire consists of people of many identities and religions. Christianity was the dominant religion at that time. Catholics, Muslims and Buddhists were the empire included. Loss of war with Japan in 1905 caused a serious disturbance in Saint Petersburg (largest city) and Nicholas was convinced to accept reduction in his power, therefore in March ,1905, Russian parliament called State Duma was announced by him. Germany was the main threat considered by the Russian Govt. Emperor Peter , the Great (1682-1725) fought a number of wars and extended a huge empire into a major European power .Capital was moved from Moscow to the new model city of Saint Petersburg.

Note:Russian empire is the third largest country in history stretching over the three countries – Europe,Asia and North America. On the ideological doctrine of orthodoxy, Autocracy, and nationality, the Russian empire functioned as an absolute monarchy .
