Hint: The population term is used for a shorter number of people considering a specific area and the word community is used for the larger number of people living in the same specific area as of the population.

Complete answer:
When we talk about the word population, the first thing which strikes our brain is the population of humans or tigers or any other animal. So, we can get an idea that the word population is used for a single species and it does not represent a group of species. The population of a particular species generally lives in an area where the same species is living and no other species lives in that area. This is known as the habitat of a particular population.

Now if we talk about community, we have seen that the humans which live together in an area are of different religions and we call the group of people who are living in an area with different religions a community. In the same way when different species of different numbers are living in an area, we call all the species together a community. In a community different species live together with peace and are helpful in the survival of each other and all together this comprises a food chain. The number of individuals in a community are way larger than that of a population.

Note: The food chain if we see generally have organisms at different levels and if we multiply each and every species of a food chain, we can see that the number of all organisms given increased in an area and now that area will be known as a community. The number of a single species of a single level of food chain is called the population of that species.
