- Some hormonal imbalance in the female body can also cause amenorrhea. For example, women with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) tend to have amenorrhea.
- There are some lifestyle Factors that affect menstruation. For example, stress, low body weight, overweight and excessive exercise.
- Lactational amenorrhea is a method of birth control. As menstruation cycle and ovulation does not occur at the time of intense lactational period so the chances of pregnancy are low. But this method is only effective till six months of delivery. After that, the normal menstruation cycle begins.
Note:- Amenorrhea can be cured and the normal menstruation cycle can begin. Pregnancy is a common cause of amenorrhea and after six months of delivery the female starts to have a normal cycle , so no such medications are required.
