Hint: 22 kilometres away from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, Dachigam National Park is situated. It occupies 141 square km of surface area. Literally, the name of the park stands for "ten villages" which may be in memory of the ten villages that were moved for formation.

Complete answer:
The park has been a protected area since 1910, first under the care of the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir and later under the observation of the concerned governmental authorities. It was initially established to ensure the supply of safe drinking water to the city of Srinagar. In the year 1981, it was upgraded and designated a National Park.

In the Zabarwan Range of the western Himalayas, Dachigam National Park is located. The altitude variation is vast and ranges from 5500 ft to 14000 ft above the mean sea level. The park is demarcated into an uneven area owing to this large variation. The landscape varies from grasslands that are gently sloping to sharp rocky outcrops and cliffs.

Dachigam is a well-known Hangul habitat (Kashmir Stag). In the winter, as they hang out in the lower valleys, they can be easily seen. Musk deer, brown bear, leopards, jungle cats, Himalayan black bear, and a few species of wild goat like markhor and ibex are other inhabitants of Dachigam.

Many uncommon birds can also be seen, including the crimson tragopan, the iridescent monal pheasant, the blood pheasant and the koklass pheasant, such as Black Bulbuls, Cinnamon sparrows, Himalayan Monals, Kashmir Flycatcher, and Colorful pheasants. Besides this, you can see the golden eagle and the bearded vulture or lammergeier soaring higher in the sky.

Dachigam National Park is exceptionally rich in wild cherry, pear, plum, peach, apple, apricot, walnut, chestnut, oak, willow, poplar, chinar, birch, pine and elm in the flora group.

Hence, the correct answer is option (A)

Note: With every season, the entire appearance of the park changes. A white cloak of winter snow adorns the park. In relation to the snow-clad peaks, spring shows the greenery of the park. Blossoming flowers and fruit trees are the park's main draw in spring. Summer melts the snow to expose the streams and waterfalls. The leaves of the trees turn vivid shades of red, gold, yellow and orange as autumn approaches. Throughout the year, Dachigam National Park remains unpolluted and colourful.
