Hint: Earth’s tilted axis is one of the reasons because of which we have different seasons throughout the year. Throughout the year, a different part of the Earth receives the Sun’s most direct rays and when it happens, it leads to the summer season.
Complete answer:
Note: The main reason for having different seasons is that the axis of the earth and when it is closer and away from the Sun during the revolution we have different seasons.
Complete answer:
Accounting annually, we all have different kinds of seasons such as Autumn, Spring, Winter and Summer. The changes in season are due to the Earth’s tilt on its axis which is 23.5 degrees. This is the latitude where you can find Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn as well. Earth used to take around 365 days to complete the revolution ( revolving around the Sun ).
When sun rays directly fall on the Tropic of Cancer, those regions experience the summer season in the Northern Hemisphere and June 21 is called the Summer Solstice. Then, during September, sun rays are directly overhead on the equator which leads to Autumn season and in December, when rays are directly overhead on the Tropic of Capricorn, Winter season is witnessed in the Northern Hemisphere with December 22 as the Winter Solstice and then during March, again Sun rays are overhead on the equator which leads to occurence of Spring season. Thus due to the revolution of the Earth around the Sun, different seasons are observed on the planet.
So, the correct answer is Option B.
