Hint: Measuring a three-dimensional space of a closed space is called volume. In other words, measuring capacity is volume. The ability of a container to hold any substance is known as capacity. Volumes of solids are measured in the units like \[milligram(mg),gram(g)\] and \[kilo\_gram(kg)\]. Volumes of liquids are measured in the units called \[\text{milliliters}(ml),\text{deciliters}(dl),\text{liters}(l)\] and \[\text{kiloliter}(kl)\]. The commonly used unit in the metric system is \[\text{milliliters}\& \text{liters}\]. Conversions of units can be done by using the operations multiplication and division.
Any conversions can be done in between these units, for that we have to know the basic unit table.
Complete step-by-step solution:
It is given that \[0.00024kl\], first we will convert it into \[\text{deciliter}(dl)\].
We know that,
\[1\text{kiloliter} = 10000\text{deciliters}\]
As we know to convert a smaller unit to a larger unit, we have to use the operation division. So divide the above expression by \[1000\] we get,
\[ \Rightarrow 0.0001\text{kiloliter} = 1\text{deciliters}\]
Therefore \[0.00024\text{kiloliter} = 2.4\text{deciliters}\]
Now we will convert \[\text{deciliters}(dl)\] into \[\text{liters}(l)\]
We have \[1liters = 1000\text{milliliters}\]
Since \[1\text{deciliters} = 100\text{milliliters} \Rightarrow 10decilietrs = 1000\text{milliliters}\]so we get,
\[ \Rightarrow 1liter = 10\text{deciliters}\]
We know that to convert a smaller unit to larger unit we have to use division operation. So divide the above expression by \[10\] we get,
\[ \Rightarrow 1deciliter = 0.1liter\]
Therefore, \[2.4\text{deciliters} = 0.24\text{liters}\]
Now we will convert \[\text{liters}(l)\] into \[\text{milliliters}(ml)\],
We have \[1000\text{milliliters} = 1liter\]
Divide the above expression by \[10\] we get,
\[ \Rightarrow 100milliliter = 0.1liter\]
Therefore, \[0.24\text{liters} = 240\text{milliliters}\]
Thus \[0.00024kl = 0.24l\] and \[0.00024kl = 240ml\]
Note: Things to remember while converting the units- if we are converting smaller unit into larger unit, we will use division operation and while converting larger unit to smaller unit we will use multiplication operation. For instance, to convert \[1\text{liters}\] to \[\text{milliliters}\] we have to multiply it by \[1000\] so that we get \[1\text{liters} = 1000\text{milliliters}\] likewise, to convert \[1000\text{milliliters}\] to \[\text{liters}\] we have to divide it by \[1000\] so that we will get \[1\text{liters}\].
Any conversions can be done in between these units, for that we have to know the basic unit table.
\[1\text{deciliter}(dl) = \] | \[100\text{milliliters}(ml)\] |
\[1000\text{milliliters}(ml) = \] | \[1\text{liter}(l)\] |
\[1000\text{liters}(l) = \] | \[1\text{kiloliters}(kl)\] |

We have \[1liters = 1000\text{milliliters}\]
