Hint: Mirabeau was the leader in the French revolution. During the time he along with Abbe Sieyes and members of the third state represented and spoke on behalf of the whole French nation. Members of the third estate declared themselves a national assembly and demanded a constitution for France.
Complete answer: Mirabeau was born in a noble family. He had always spoken for the people of the society and did away with his feudal privileges. While Abbe Sieyas was a priest who joined Mirabeau and wrote influential pamphlets. Mirabeau also brought out a journal and delivered powerful speeches to the members of the third state. The people were assembled in the indoor tennis court on the grounds of Versailles. Then these members declared themselves a national assembly and demanded the constitution for France that would further limit the powers of the monarch. These national assemblies were led by Abbe Sieyas and Mirabeau.
On one hand, the national assembly was busy at Versailles drafting a constitution while on the other the people of France were angered with turmoil. Severe winters in France made the conditions worse. There was a bad harvest, bakers exploited, the price of bread rose etc. This made the public furious and the crowd destroyed the Bastille.
Note: The National Assembly was reconstituted in 1789 which was known as the National constituent assembly. It requested the king Louis to remove the troops however the king refused to do so and offered to move the assembly to the new place.
