Hint: The state of Jammu and Kashmir boasts of many of the highest ranges of the Himalayas. These ranges extend from north-west to the south-east direction. These are arranged almost parallel to each other.

Complete answer:
Let us have a look at the various options:
Option a: The Karakoram Himalayas lies to the northernmost direction. Hence, this is not a correct option.
Option b: This arrangement is also not true, because although the Karakoram ranges come first, it is neither followed by the Pir Panjal ranges, nor further followed by the Zanskar ranges. So, it is not correct.
Option c: Geographically, it is the Karakoram ranges that are situated in the northernmost latitude amongst the four, then there are the Ladakh and the Zanskar ranges. Finally, to the south of all, lie the Pir Panjal ranges. Therefore, this is the correct option.
Option d: This arrangement is faulty as well. Pir Panjal should come at the end of the serial, and Karakoram at the beginning. Thus, this is incorrect.
Hence, the correct answer is option, ‘c. 1, 2, 3, 4’.

Note: These ranges can be remembered by their names nor randomly, but in the order of their positions from north to south. So, memorise the names in this order: Karakoram >> Ladakh >> Zanskar >> Pir Panjal.
