Hint: Take an example of any number, write it in numbername and then try to find the correct option by comparing the number name with the actuarial number and do prove commas while writing the number.

Complete Step by Step Solution:
Let us try to do it in 2 cases: first will be for Indian system and the second will be for the International system and we will do it by taking the same number.
Let us take the number as 12345678
Now for case 1:
Let us provide commas accordingly 1,23,45,678
If we write this number in number name it will be as
One crore twenty three lac forty five thousand six hundred seventy eight.
Now if we observe closely from the end of the number the first comma is from the last 3 digit i.e., before hundred the next one is before thousands after that it is before lacs. So the commas are placed in a period whenever a period ends a comma is placed as lacs, thousand are all periods
Therefore according to this option C is correct.
For Case 2:
The same number will be written in international system as 12,345,678
If we write this in numbername in international format it will look like
Twelve million three hundred forty five thousand six hundred seventy eight
Again if we look closely the commas are placed after hundred and hundred thousand as in the International system the period of thousands ends after hundred thousand whereas in Indian system it ends after ten thousand.
So here also it is clear that the commas are placed after periods only
Therefore option C is the correct option.

Note: We can also do this question by drawing a place value table. Just write any number in the place value table and compare it with the raw number. After placing commas we will get the same result, the answer remains as Period in any case.
