 The brain is considered one of the largest and most complex organs in human beings that help to control thought, memory, emotions, touch, temperature, and every other process that helps in regulating the body. Together, the brain and the spinal cord that extends from it makes up the central nervous system of the body.

The space where the brain is located inside the skull is called the cranial cavity. It is one of the largest cavities which houses the brain. The cranial cavity or we call it an intracranial space is within the skull. The space that is present inside the skull is formed by eight cranial bones called neurocranium, which is the upper part of the brain for its protection. The skull cap of the neurocranium that covers up the cranial cavity and the remaining part of the skull is referred to as the facial skeleton.

The cranial cavity contains eight cranial bones which are collectively combined in an area. A gland that is found in this cavity is called the pituitary gland that helps in the secretion of different fluids that are needed for different parts of the body to perform different functions. This cavity contains a variety of spinal and cranial nerves that are residing in it.
